Tea light candle card

One of my friends, Eileen has just retired. I thought I would make her a special card to celebrate the occasion. So I purchased some lavender and vanilla tealights and made a card box to pack them in. May all her days ahead be as fragrant as lavender and vanilla.

Since I still had leftover tea lights I thought I'd make another card for good measure.

Origami Boxes

I'm always very fascinated by origami. So I decided to make some boxes and the best part was there was no icky glue on my fingers.

Box 1: Flat box with belly band

This nifty box is great for small trinkets like bracelets. It can be flat packed and slotted into a belly band. You can learn how to make it by following the instructions here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tDpEu4GKkDc

The box is now open with the belly band on the side.

Now, look what's in the box?

Box 2: Puffy box with Mortar board lid

Box Card

The Outside of a big Box Card

Instead of throwing away the Wella Hair Dye box after I've used the contents I decided to turn it into a card by decorating it with card stock and embellishments.
